Jan 11 - Munster Germany - Rita Marcotulli - Pink Floyd Project

In 2006 Andy has continued his musical search touring, recording and working on many different projects. He has released a duo CD with Joanna MacGregor - "Deep River" (sound circus SC009) and also recorded works by J.S.Bach and Moondog with Joanna and the Britten Sinfonia.

A "live" CD recorded in Paris with Carla Bley's Big Band is due out soon on ECM and 2006 saw the release of George Russell's Living Time Orchestra "80th birthday concert" in which Andy is a featured soloist.

A new recording "On the edge of a perfect moment" with Rita Marcotulli is due for release on the "Harmonia Mundi" label and his innovative birdsong project "the Birds" is now complete and available as a unique software download through his web site... www.andysheppard.co.uk

He has also composed and performed two large scale works - 'The Living Bridge - saxophone massive' for 200 saxophones and 'Glossolalia' a choral piece for 100 voices plus saxophone, guitar and Tablas. Andy is currently writing music for a CD with ECM featuring a new international quintet. He has numerous 'live' dates scheduled for 2007 - including work with projects by Jean Marie Machado and Maj Britt Kramer, a new cross genre group 'Cascade' mixing musicians from Celtic folk roots and India.

Tours are also planned with an expanded 'Lost Chords' - 'Carla Bley and the Lost Chords find Paolo Fresu' as well as his duo's with Rita Marcotulli, Joanna MacGregor, John Parricelli and Kuljit Bhamra.
